Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this site. It is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA and tested against that standard on every change.
Conformance status
This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We test it against that standard, mostly with automated tools, and fix what we find. Automated testing can’t catch every issue, and the site hasn’t had a full manual or independent audit, so we don’t claim full conformance.
How we test
- Automated accessibility checks (axe, against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules) run on every page template in light and dark themes and on a phone-sized screen with reduced motion, on every proposed change.
- Text and interface color pairs are checked against WCAG contrast ratios in both themes.
- Automated tests walk key keyboard paths, including the skip link and the menu, check that a contact form error moves focus to a summary of the problems, and check that pages don’t scroll sideways on screens as narrow as 320 pixels.
- The site is built to work with a keyboard alone, with visible focus, and to respect reduced-motion, increased-contrast and forced-colors settings.
- Content is in the page’s HTML, so it is readable with JavaScript turned off.
- We don’t use accessibility overlay widgets.
Known limitations
- Spam check on the contact form. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party widget we don’t control. It usually runs invisibly, but occasionally it may show a check that is hard to complete with some assistive technology. You don’t have to pass it: a failed or missing check never blocks your request. You can also email us instead.
- Data files and charts. Our data files (JSON, CSV and iCalendar) are machine formats. The WordPress tracker’s chart has the same figures in a table under it, and the deadline table is the accessible form of the calendar. The before-and-after figure on the home page is a standard slider, so arrow keys move it as well as dragging.
- Browsers. Our automated tests run in Chromium, the engine behind Chrome and Edge. We build to web standards and expect the site to work in current versions of Firefox and Safari, but we don’t test them automatically.

If something on this site doesn’t work for you, or you need information from it in another format, email hello@snowdriven.com with the page and what happened. We reply within one business day. You can always reach us by email instead of the contact form, and we’re happy to talk it through on a call if that works better for you.
