How we work with Pittsburgh teams
Every project is led by a senior engineer, and the engineer you speak to first is the one who leads the work. For teams in and around Pittsburgh, that engineer can be in the room when it matters most:
- The kick-off
- A workshop to map a process before it becomes software
- A review of a working build
- The handover to your own staff
Day-to-day collaboration happens by video and in shared tools, with weekly increments you can click through and written decisions you can read, challenge and keep.
We don’t run a client-facing office. We come to you, which tends to be more useful anyway: it is easier to understand a warehouse workflow, a clinic’s intake process or a sales team’s quoting spreadsheet when you can see it being used.
What we build
The core of the work is software engineering. We build custom web applications such as customer portals and internal tools that replace spreadsheets, SaaS platforms with billing, roles and tenant isolation, and iOS and Android apps, fully native or cross-platform. Underneath, we design APIs and set up cloud infrastructure in your own AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account. Not every project starts from scratch: plenty of companies run on systems built years ago that still work but have become hard to change, and we modernize .NET and PHP applications in steps.
When a website or store is the right answer, we build it on WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Squarespace or Wix, to the same standard as our software.
Where we work
On site across the Pittsburgh area: Pittsburgh and Allegheny, Westmoreland, Butler and Armstrong counties. Remotely, for companies anywhere in the United States.
Local, without the lock-in
Choosing a nearby studio should make the work easier, not make you dependent on it. If we are not the right fit for what you need, we will say so and suggest what would be.
Questions about working with a Pittsburgh studio
Can you meet on site?
Yes. In the Pittsburgh area we can meet on site for the moments that matter most: the kick-off, a workshop to map a process, a review of a working build or the handover to your staff. Day-to-day collaboration happens by video and in shared tools.
How does a project start?
A project starts when you tell us what you’re building, through the contact form or by email. After a 30-minute call to talk it through, we send a written proposal covering scope, timeline and price, or suggest a discovery sprint first for a larger build.
Do you work with companies outside Pittsburgh?
Yes, we work with companies anywhere in the United States, by video and in shared tools. Clients in the Pittsburgh area can also meet us on site for kick-offs, workshops, build reviews and handovers.
