Wix & Wix Studio
Wix Studio development, extended with Velo code
Wix and Wix Studio sites extended with Velo code: custom data collections, dynamic pages, backend functions and connections to the outside services a site depends on. Your team keeps the visual editor, the custom code is documented, and the platform’s limits are set out before the build starts.

Is it the right call?
When it’s the right call
- Your team already knows Wix and wants to keep editing visually
- You need dynamic pages, member areas or forms that write to a database
- The site needs to talk to a booking, CRM or inventory API
- An existing Wix site is slow, inconsistent or hard to maintain
When it isn’t
- You want to move hosts freely or own the full codebase We’d suggest: WordPress, which you can host anywhere
- Complex logic, heavy data or many user roles We’d suggest: A custom web app

Wix Studio site
Responsive layouts, reusable sections and a design system your team can extend.
Velo code
Dynamic pages, backend functions and API connections, documented and commented.
CMS collections
Structured content your team edits in forms instead of on the page.
Performance and accessibility review
Tested against WCAG 2.2 AA and Core Web Vitals, with fixes applied where the platform allows.
Editing guide
How to update content, add pages and work safely around the custom code.
What we build
Wix Studio sites with custom collections, dynamic pages and member areas, extended with Velo where the editor stops. Backend functions connect the site to booking, CRM and inventory systems, and scheduled jobs keep that data in sync.

Questions about Wix
Wix or WordPress: which fits our business?
Choose Wix if your team wants to design and edit visually and the site’s logic is modest; choose WordPress if you have structured content, many editors or complex integrations, or want to host anywhere. Wix handles hosting and security for you; WordPress gives you more control and the freedom to move hosts or own every line of code.
What can Velo code add to a Wix site?
Velo is Wix’s built-in development platform: it lets us write JavaScript that runs in the browser and on Wix’s servers, so a site can do what the editor alone can’t. Typical uses are forms that write to a database, member areas, scheduled syncs with a booking or CRM system, and pages generated from your own data.
What is the difference between Wix and Wix Studio?
Wix Studio is Wix’s platform for professional site builds. It adds more precise responsive layouts, reusable design systems and built-in development tools, while your team still edits in a visual editor. We build on Wix Studio for most new Wix projects and extend it with Velo code where the editor stops.
Can we move a Wix site to another platform later?
You can, but moving off Wix means a rebuild rather than an export, because Wix doesn’t let you take a site’s code to another host. We move the content and collections, rebuild the design on the new platform and map every old URL to its new address with permanent redirects. If you expect to move, we say so before building on Wix.
Every build, any stack
One standard.
Performance
A performance budget is set before launch and enforced on every change.
Accessibility
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA and tested against it, with automated checks and manual keyboard and screen-reader passes on client builds.
Security
Least-privilege access, secrets kept out of code, dependencies monitored and security headers configured.
Handover
Accounts and repositories in your name from day one. The code and documentation are yours under the signed agreement, written so another team could take over.
